Sacred Water is a darkly comic manifestation of psychosis for two would-be parents. Amidst the Miami Race Riots of 1980, Earl relives the days leading up to his daughter Penelope's birth from within the confines of his hospital ward, while Mercedes does everything she can to ignore the horrible event that, 9 years ago, has led her to an inevitable date with the electric chair.

"The development process for Sacred Water has been collaborative, thorough, and constant over the course of a year. With each draft arose new questions and with new questions birthed new discoveries and with new discoveries came the need for further exploration. Once the script was workshop-ready, Dan drove the process from page to stage with brilliant actors who clarified moments, challenged themselves, and freely breathed the psychotic world presented to them. Rag and Bone took a leap into this project, lending their hearts and minds to the story and its growth from an idea to a play, and I could not be more thrilled and appreciative with the work they've done." - Stacy Davidowitz
